HIPS suspended with immediate effect pending primary legislation for a permanent abolition. There will still be the need for an energy performance certificate (EPC) to determine how energy efficient a property is. This will need to be in place within 28 days of a home being placed on the market. Therefore, every property can be marketed immediately without any delay !
